I'm going under the knife tomorrow. This is a long anticipated shoulder surgery to repair my torn rotator cuff and shoulder impingement. This puts me out of kayaking for the rest of the summer. I guess I'll have to spend my time videoblogging instead.

Doug, good luck with your surgery! - I hope everything goes very well, and that you will be fit for kayaking very soon again.
This is very exciting. I've just found your vlog. A perspective from the south! :)
I absolutely love the intro.
Good luck!
Seriously best wishes for the surgery.
I guess it happens with videoblogging - you watch for even a short while and you really feel that you get to know _and_care_ about people.
I'm sure you're already out of surgery by now, so good luck with all the recovery. I hope you feel like doing a post-op video tomorrow - I'm looking forward to a "heavily medicated" perspective :)
Good luck man! Just think of all the cool new kinds of video moves you'll be able to make after rehab.
Thinking about you in your recovery. Hope it all went perfectly. Good luck too with rehab. Guess you'll be making some vlog tips for one-armed folks.
I just had that same surgery for dislocating my shoulder while . . . you guessed it, kayaking. Good luck with the rehab!
I am came across your video blog and notice that you are near Atlanta. Where are those waterfalls that you filmed? My brother lives near Atlanta and we are meeting him for vacation in June in North Georgia. I enjoyed the video and the music, too.
Thanks everyone for your kind words. It is now Saturday and I'm home doing well. My arm is in a sling so I'm typing this one handed...slowly.
Debbie to answer your question Jacks River Falls are in far north Georgia in the Cohutta Wilderness. The closest sizeable town is Chatsworth. It is about a 4 mile hike into the waterfall;8 miles roundtrip.
